Learning games that meet your child where they are
TendiPlay is a learning app for families of children who need a bit of extra support, including autistic children and children with speech, language or developmental delays. Plenty of autism learning games are loud, fast and full of rewards that flash; these are deliberately the opposite. Any child can enjoy it. Every activity is calm and predictable. There is no clock to beat and no wrong way to take part. Your child plays at their own pace, with a grown-up alongside.
Thirteen worlds to explore
Each world practises one everyday skill, with a different friend, scene or question each round so favourite games stay fresh. These five starter worlds are free to begin with.
Five study worlds
Reading, spelling, number, directions and memory, with TendiPlay Family. Each one changes with your child's age: a four-year-old hears “Find the seed”, while a ten-year-old reads a short story or shares twelve flowers into four groups.
Three toy worlds round it out with TendiPlay Family: Pattern Train (what comes next in the pattern), Shape Workshop (sort shapes into matching trays) and Position Park (in, on, under, beside).
Questions that grow with your child
- Enter your child's age and each study world starts at a fitting level, then moves up or down with how your child plays. You can always set levels yourself.
- Under-sixes listen rather than read: a big speaker button says the question again whenever they tap it.
- Thousands of pictures, built from shapes, colours, patterns, sizes and familiar objects, so the same question rarely comes round twice.
- With Family, fresh stories, word problems and riddles are written by AI, using only the app's own pictures, and checked for safety before your child sees them. You can turn this off for each child.
Made for the way your child plays
- Large pictures and buttons, with a picture size you can adjust.
- Tap, select-then-place, Switch Control, or a grown-up confirming a choice made with AAC or a gesture.
- Calm or playful scenery, reduced motion, optional sound, read-aloud instructions and gentle vibration.
- Fewer taps: answers built from letters or pictures check themselves, and the next question follows on its own, with a Wait button. You can turn this off.
- Help, Break and Finished are always on screen, so your child can always ask for help, pause or stop.
- No timers, no flashing rewards, no streaks and no sales prompts during play.
- Tap targets and choices work with Switch Control. How to set it up.
For parents and carers
- Set simple goals and levels for each child.
- See progress at a glance: what your child did on their own, and with help.
- Share a clear PDF report or spreadsheet with a teacher, speech therapist or OT.
- Check-in reminders and play-time limits. When time's up, a grown-up can allow more with Face ID.
- Settings, purchases and links sit behind a parent PIN or Face ID.

Private by design
TendiPlay is ad-free learning: no ads, ever, inside or around the games. Your child's profile and progress are encrypted on your device. There is no tracking and no child accounts, and children never type or send anything. With Family, new practice questions are fetched using only the game, an age group and a level, never your child's name or records. If you turn on backup, it's encrypted on your device before upload with a key only you hold, so we can't read it, and you can restore after reinstalling or on a new device. Read our privacy policy.

Common questions
What age is TendiPlay for?
Children aged about 3 to 16, playing with a parent or carer nearby. Questions follow the age you enter, so a three-year-old listens and finds a picture while a ten-year-old reads a short story or works out a sum.
Is TendiPlay good for autistic children or kids with speech delay?
We designed TendiPlay with autistic children and children with speech, language or developmental delays in mind: calm scenes, large pictures, no timers, predictable controls, and support for AAC, gestures and Switch Control. Any young child can enjoy it. It is playful practice, not therapy or a diagnosis.
Is TendiPlay free?
Yes. Five starter games are free to play as often as you like, with progress, reports and every accessibility setting. TendiPlay Family is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that adds eight more worlds, every level, thousands of extra pictures, AI-written practice questions, screen-free play ideas and a weekly practice plan.
Does TendiPlay have ads or collect my child's data?
No ads, no tracking and no child accounts. Your child's profile and progress are encrypted on your device. Optional backup is encrypted before it leaves the device, so we can't read it. With Family, new practice questions are fetched using only the game, an age group and a level.
Does TendiPlay work offline?
Yes. The games, progress and reports all work without an internet connection. Buying or restoring Family, backup, play ideas and new AI practice questions need a connection.
Where can I get TendiPlay?
TendiPlay is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and five starter worlds are free to download and play. An Android version is coming soon to Google Play.
More answers are on our help page.
TendiPlay is for playful practice with a grown-up. It is not a diagnosis, therapy or a formal assessment, and it works alongside, not instead of, your child's therapists, teachers and communication system.
