1. About these terms
These terms apply to the TendiPlay app for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by Twologpi ("we", "us"). By downloading or using TendiPlay, you agree to them. If you got TendiPlay from the App Store, they add to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. If you got it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your use of Google Play. Where the two differ, these terms apply to the extent the law allows. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.
2. Who TendiPlay is for
- TendiPlay is for parents and carers to use with children aged about 3 to 16. A grown-up should be nearby whenever a child plays.
- You must be an adult (18, or the age of majority where you live) to set up the app, create an account, change settings or buy a subscription. The parent gate is there to keep those things out of a child's reach. Please keep your PIN private.
3. What TendiPlay is, and isn't
TendiPlay is a set of calm games for playful practice together. It is not medical, therapeutic or educational advice, a diagnosis or a formal assessment, and it does not replace a qualified professional or your child's communication system (AAC). Progress screens and reports show what happened during play. They are not a measure of ability. If you have concerns about your child's development, talk to a qualified professional.
4. Play ideas and scene colours
With TendiPlay Family, some practice questions in the study worlds are written by an AI model. They use only pictures from the app's own collection, the app works out every answer itself, and each one is checked automatically before it is shown; you can turn them off for each child under Grown-ups. Play ideas and scene colours are written by an AI model from the game and interest you pick. We check them automatically for unsuitable wording, but they are suggestions, not instructions. Use your own judgement with every idea: choose safe, familiar materials, avoid small objects and anything that could be a choking hazard, adapt it to your child, and stop whenever your child wants to.
5. TendiPlay Family subscription
- Five starter games are free to play as often as you like. TendiPlay Family is an optional auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly. The price for your country is shown in the app before you buy.
- Eligible new subscribers can start the yearly plan with a free trial. Apple or Google Play decides eligibility and shows the trial length and the price that follows before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase or, with a free trial, when the trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the next period within 24 hours before the current one ends.
- You can manage or cancel at any time in your Apple Account subscription settings or in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions, or in the app under Grown-ups, then Family plan, then Manage subscription. If you cancel during a free trial, you won't be charged.
- On iPhone and iPad, TendiPlay Family works with Apple Family Sharing. A subscription bought through one store doesn't unlock TendiPlay bought through the other. Each device keeps its own children's profiles.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play.
- If your subscription ends, the free starter games, your child's records, reports, export and deletion all stay available.
- If we change the price, Apple or Google will tell you in advance, and where the law requires it, ask for your consent before you pay the new price.
6. Accounts and backup
An account (Sign in with Apple on iPhone and iPad, or Sign in with Google on Android) is optional. You only need one for backup, play ideas and scene colours. You are responsible for keeping your device, parent PIN and backup recovery code safe. Backups are encrypted with a key we never receive, so we cannot restore a backup without your key (kept in your iCloud Keychain, or on your Android device) or your recovery code. You can delete your account in the app at any time, which also deletes your backup.
7. Your records
Your child's records and your notes belong to you. We don't claim any rights over them. When you share a report or summary outside the app, you decide who receives it and what happens to it.
8. Fair use
Please don't misuse TendiPlay or its online services. For example, don't try to get around the parent gate, subscription checks or security, overload or interfere with the service, access anyone else's data, or copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows. We may suspend online features for an account that does these things.
9. Our content
The app, its games, artwork, characters, sounds and text belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use TendiPlay for your family, under these terms and, where it applies, Apple's licence agreement.
10. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep TendiPlay reliable and its content accurate. The app and its online features are provided "as is" and "as available", and may change, pause or stop. We may add, change or remove features, and we will try to give notice of changes that affect your subscription. Games already on your device keep working offline.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data you could have protected by using backup or export. Our total liability for anything relating to TendiPlay is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited, or our liability for anything that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Ending use
You can stop using TendiPlay at any time by deleting the app, and delete your account and backup from Grown-ups, then Account. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription; please cancel it with Apple or in Google Play.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or on this page before it takes effect. If you keep using TendiPlay after that, the updated terms apply.
