IEP progress monitoring graph
Make an IEP progress monitoring graph for one goal, free, in your browser. One goal, one measurement, one reporting period, plotted on real dates with the evidence table underneath. Gaps stay as gaps and the observed zeros stay on the chart. It will not tell you whether a student is on track.
The arithmetic runs in this browser tab. What you type is never sent anywhere. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics counts the visit and which buttons were used (for example “Print”), never the values you enter. No advertising scripts. Printing, downloading or sharing a result sends it wherever you point it, so follow your district’s approved process for anything that identifies a student.
Get your data in
Three ways, all local. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Columns: date, correct, opportunities, status, note. Dates as YYYY-MM-DD. Leave correct and opportunities empty and set status to not-observed for a session that did not happen. There is no import from the iOS app yet, and this is not one.
Chart settings
All optional. None of it changes the numbers.
Used for the coverage figure: how much of the period has data behind it.
What this chart deliberately does not do
It will not draw a line across a gap
Four sessions in September and four in December is not a smooth climb between them, and a continuous line says it was. Where there is a break in collection, the line breaks. The coverage figure under the chart says how many weeks of the period have any data at all, which is usually the number a meeting should be looking at first.
It will not space points evenly
Plotting sessions one after another at equal intervals turns a three-week gap into the same distance as an overnight one. Points sit on their real calendar dates. Two sessions on the same day both stay on the chart rather than one quietly replacing the other.
It will not reconstruct denominators
If your file has only rounded percentages and no counts, the points can be plotted but no pooled total can be produced from them, and the tool says so instead of inventing opportunity counts that make the arithmetic work. A percentage without its denominator is a claim you cannot check.
It will not give a verdict
No trend line, no “on track” badge, no mastery call, no recommendation about services or placement. Those depend on the student, the instruction, and the team’s judgement. A chart maker that produced them would be producing them from five numbers and no context.
